I’m a dad, born and raised in rural New Zealand/Aotearoa, currently living abroad.
In 2016, after over a decade with the United Nations (UN) flying in and out of war zones, I took some time off, to be a full-time stay-at-home-dad. During this time, with space to breathe (minus the never-ending stream of house duties), I founded PoemsofaDad.
I’ve always had a passion for writing, in particular poetry, and as the father of two delightful little people, I’ve never been short of inspiration. So, I decided to share my experience, in the hope that my musings might bring a little happiness to others and as a written record of my experience as a dad.
