C’est un melange
Trop vite
C’est la vie
Trop vite
C’est passé…
Today we leave
The boxes packed
The truck loaded up
to the roof
My stomach churning
Heavy with fear and guilt
at the top
of my mouth
With the sadness, the loss
The knowledge that I’ve upended you
And spun you like two little tops
Across the room
Of my life not yours
And somehow in the rush
The relentless recent forward movement
I might have broken you.
My heart is heavy
stone weight in my gullet
To see your face, lips quivering, holding in the tears
Your blue sky of mind
Littered with clouds of sadness,
….missing your friends already
Fear, concern, that you may not make friends, wherever it is that we now go…
Lightness in the shadows of what’s left in the house
Sunlight creeping in.
To hear.
Otherwise, it’s just excitement, delight
Brighter clouds, gently nudging others away
Moving us all to a better day
Moving.
